On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to see and get this great image of the steam locomotive No. 844 coming through Palmer Lake, Colorado. This is the 150 Anniversary celebration of Union Pacific.
Steam Locomotive No. 844 was the last steam locomotive built for Union Pacific Railroad. It was delivered in 1944. A high-speed passenger engine, it pulled such widely known trains as the Overland Limited, Los Angeles Limited, Portland Rose and Challenger. Here is a link to learn more about the Living Legend No. 844 or about steam locomotives.
Many on lookers ventured out to catch a glimpses of this Legend so I decided to go down the tracks to get a little different view.
